Striking feature fire station red entrance doors artwork, combined with curated artwork and firefighter mannequin displays within the street-facing windows, create a bold visual statement. These elements not only capture attention but also tell the story of the FBU’s heritage to all who pass by.

A successful planning signage consent application was secured for external LED signage, allowing the building to be illuminated and further enhancing its visibility and identity within the streetscape.

The office design delivers a contemporary workplace that carefully balances industrial character with warmth and comfort, while incorporating the FBU’s distinctive red and blue colour palette.

Black-painted concrete soffits form a bold architectural backdrop, introducing a strong industrial aesthetic. This is softened and enhanced by suspended linear LED lighting and acoustic ceiling rafts, which provide both visual contrast and improved acoustic performance.

A neutral, earthy-toned carpet grounds the space, introducing lightness and a calm, comfortable feel underfoot. Glazed partitions to private offices and meeting rooms maximise the flow of natural light throughout, while fluted manifestation to the central banding provides a subtle layer of privacy. Integrated planting is woven throughout the workspace, bringing natural greenery into the interior adding a sense wellbeing.
